Production area: Medium hill – 350 meters asl – Vergne Narzole hamlet; south east – south west exposure.
Vineyards: planted since 1969.
Soil: Marly-calcareous-clayey soil typical of the Langhe.
Cultivation system: Guyot
Harvest: mid-October.
Type of vinification: traditional fermentation.
Aging: 24 months in steel barrels.
Maturation: 12/24 months in bottle: excellent young, excellent in time.
Color: ruby red.
Aromas: black cherry, roots, spices.
Taste: very intense and persistent.
Food pairing: tagliatelle and agnolotti, game and red meats, aged cheeses, typical Piedmontese products.
Service: served at 18 degrees after having been uncorked if possible for at least 2 hours and aerated in carafe/decanter and strictly in crystal goblet.
